At NWMA, our Youth Program is designed to create street safe, bully proof, strong, confident leaders.  This is accomplished through an integrated system of curriculums that gives our young students the skills and tools to accomplish their goals and be more than they thought they could be.

Street Safe
Derived from the award winning EZ Defense and FAST Defense programs created by Mr. Bill Kipp this curriculum teaches simple, effective verbal AND physical self-defense skills taught in a fun, informative and hands-on manner.
Bully proof
Our young members receive training and skills derived from the award winning Bully Buster program.  This unique program has been endorsed by Sports Illustrated, Boy and Girl Scouts, the National PTA, and the National Education Association to name only a few.  It focuses on giving youth tools other than combat when dealing with a bully.
Strong
At each level of advancement, students are expected to perform basic physical fitness activies (situps, pushups, etc...) in accordance with the Presidential Fitness Awards.  As with all things, we start with small, realistic expectations for beginners.  As the student advances in rank, so do the expectations and requirements.  By the time the student reaches Black Belt, they will be stronger and healthier than before, setting the foundation for a happier, healthier teen and adult!
Confident
Confidence comes from accomplishment of goals.  At NWMA our members set and achieve goals on a regular basis.  Every stripe and belt is a goal accomplishment, and every time a student advances to the next rank, they are required to set a new goal to accomplish or improve on by their next rank advancement.

Leaders

Students are provided the opportunity to develop their leadership skills by being chosed to lead classes in activities.  Students who show appropriate traits to become leaders can be invited to join the NWMA Leadership Team, where they are given more opportunities to become leaders in the school and the community.
